The Design

The Native American Chief depicted on the obverse side is a version of James Earle Fraser’s Indian Head Nickel, issued in 1913. It is a combination of different Native American tribes: the Big Tree, the Iron Tail, and the Two Moons, with the word “LIBERTY” incused in front of the Native’s forehead.

The inscriptions beneath the encircled image describe the bar’s fineness, metal content, and weight through “.999 FINE SILVER ONE TROY OUNCES”

The reverse features the Buffalo design encircled on top. It consists of a left-side upstanding depiction of the giant American Bison that resembles a Buffalo.
